Madagascar has qualified for their first ever Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be hosted by Cameroon after beating Equatorial Guinea by a lone goal.
Madagascar made history as they become the first African nation to qualify for the next edition of the Africa Cup of nations.
This is the first time they will play in the history of the competition.
Madagascar qualified after beating Equatorial Guinea by a lone goal in the early group A fixture.
The goal was scored by the Thailand based Nijiva Rakotoharimalala in the dying moments of the first department of the game. The goal was enough to secure the victory and made history for Madagascar.
Madagascar became the first Nation to join Cameroon for the competition next year to be played between June and July.
Madagascar are in group A with Senegal, Sudan and Equatorial Guinea.
Senegal can also qualify alongside Madagascar if they beat Sudan in the late fixture of today in group A.
