Hertha Berlin startled Bayern Munich and beat them by two goals to zero in the sixth week of the Germany Bundesliga. Hertha Berlin took the lead through a penalty that was caused by Jerome Boateng in the penalty area. Vedad Ibisevic did not make any mistake and put the ball in the left corner through the outstretched arms of Manuel Neuer. Hertha Berlin double their lead in the 44th minute through a Valentino Lazaro's through ball into the box to Ondrej Duda who could not miss but fired to the top right corner of the post. The result means Hertha Berlin moved into the top four and to the second place on the league log. The defending champions Bayern Munich began the season with four wins, a draw and one lose. They will look forward to defend their bundesliga title under new manager Niko Kovac.

Busquets Pens New Contract at Barcelona.

Sergio Busquets has signed new contract with Barcelona through to 2023, with his fresh terms including a €500 million (£445m/$585m) release clause. The club revealed this on their Twitter  page earlier today. The 30-year-old midfielder is a product of the famed La Masia academy system in Catalunya and has spent his entire career to date at Camp Nou. He has now edged a step closer to hanging up his boots as a one-club man, with Barca tying his services down for the foreseeable future. The Liga giants have moved to put a new deal in place after seeing Busquets start to generate transfer talk. Despite his strong ties to the club, the World Cup winner had seen a possible move to England mooted. A reunion with former Barca boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City was reported to be a possibility, with the Premier League champions prepared to spend big on a proven performer. Such speculation has now been brought to a close.

Ballon d'Or Announces 2 New Awards - For Young Talent & Women Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will form part of a panel that will vote on a new award added to the Ballon d’Or family this year: the Kopa Trophy. Named after Raymond Kopa, the legendary Reims, Angers, Real Madrid and France striker, who won the inaugural Ballon d’Or in 1958, the award will go to the game’s outstanding young player aged under 21. Ronaldo and Messi, though, will not be alone on a panel of illustrious talents. Joining the pair will be all the surviving Ballon d’Or winners, from Luis Suarez, the oldest winner still alive, to the Juventus and Barcelona stars, who have monopolised the individual award for a decade. Furthermore, there will be a Ballon d’Or equivalent for female players. This prize has been welcomed by France international Wendy Renard, who plays for Lyon and is a Champions League winner.

Ghana defender Daniel Amartey played 90 minutes for Leicester City as they demolish Huddersfield Town 3:1 in the English premier league. Amartey was a rock at the center of defence for Leicester City to ensure that they bounced back to winning ways in the premier league after defeats to Bournemouth and Liverpool. Huddersfield Town scored early in the game through Mathias Jorgensen but goals from Kelechi Iheanacho, James Maddison and Jaime Vardy ensure that Leicester City were the winners at full time. Leicester will play next as guest to Newcastle United at St James Park.

KP Boateng scores as Sassuolo moved to 2nd place in Serie A.

KP Boateng scores again as the green and blacks moved to second place in Serie A two points behind the league leaders Juventus. The Ghanaian international netted in the 13th minute to help his side came back into the game as they went down 18 seconds into the game by a Francesco Caputo's shot for Empoli. This is his third goal in five appearances this season for Sassuolo in Series A. Sassuolo went on to win by three goals to one. The other goals came from Gianmarco Ferrari and Federico Di Francesco.

AUBAMEYANG'S FATHER FRANCOIS NAMED NEW GABON COACH.

Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to work under his father Francois at the national team outfit, following the latter's appointment as one of two joint-head coaches on Thursday. Aubameyang Snr, 53, together with former Panthers' striker Daniel Cousin, is set to lead the central African side after the departure of Spanish coach Jose Antonio Camacho. Francols Amegasse, who like Aubameyang Snr and Cousin once captained the Panthers, has been named the new general manager of the team. "Given the urgency and the current situation, it was decided to constitute around the Panthers of Gabon a group of coaches with a very good knowledge of Gabonese football and its environment," the Gabon Football Federation, Fegafoot announced. "Therefore, we have as national coaches Pierre François Aubameyang and Daniel Cousin, while Francois Amegasse will act as General Manager." UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: LIVERPOOL BEAT PSG 3:2.

The 2018/2019 UEFA champions league began with some glimpse moments as Liverpool beat Paris Saint Germain by three goals to two to win their first group match. Liverpool took the lead through Daniel Sturridge and James Milner got the second through a penalty when Sturridge was brought down inside the penalty area. Paris were back into the game when Thomas Meunier got the first goal for PSG whiles the wonder boy Kylian Mbappe got the leveller to send the game open. It took Roberto Firmino who came on to replace Sturridge got the winner for Liverpool through a Shaqiri corner kick. The result means Liverpool moved to the top of the table group C table with three points, Red Star Belgrade and Napoli on one point each whiles Paris Saint Germain are in the bottom with no points.
