Be An African

"Kokloxɔ mekpeaŋʋ na koklo ooooooo". That is what we say in my language. The "chicken is never shy of its pen". No matter how old or wretched it looks, that's where the chicken will lay its head.

Do not be deceive my brother, do not be deceive my sister. Dress like an African. Wear your clothes like a Ghanaian. When they ask you where you come from, be bold and say I am Ghanaian. It doesn't take anything away from you. Will your mother or father die if you do so? I doubt.

Be an African, eat like an African. Stop eating junk food. Our forefathers ate and drink of calabash but they lived longer than this current generation. Indomie although delicious, is not our food and will not be. Akple kple fetri detsi is what I eat but I'm strong like gakpo.

Be an African. When will you stop comparing your boyfriend or girlfriend to that little funky girl in the telenovelas? He or she can't be like him or her. He is an African. She is an African.

Walk like an African, you will die if you are not like your friend. Stop crying for your mom to buy you this and that because your uses this and that. Be an African.

Do not let your behavior depicts a white man.  Be an African. Do not let your behavior distracts others. Let people appreciate you when you are in their midst. Be an African and stop causing distraction.
